Malkarion is the Escalation Boss for Shock Escalation.

"Slayers who prove their worth in Shock Escalation will earn the right to take on a Malkarion —a quick-striking, aerial menace with the power of lightning at its call. With the ability to hover just out of range, this sky serpent will have you reaching deep to overcome its shock assaults."

The Malkarion weapons use a Bond instead of a Unique Effect and have a Legendary ability.

Legendary Ability: Teleport to a Behemoth, dealing Shock damage. Usable once, but resets on Behemoth kill.

Rewards[]

Progressing through a talent tree will unlock permanent rewards that can be claimed when the required level is reached.

Passives[]

Passives are unlocked in the Talent Tree and add permanent bonuses on every Shock escalation hunt.

Breath of Life Common After taking damage, gain +4% / +6% / +8% lifesteal for 8 seconds.
Cautious Eidolon Uncommon Have Violent Eidolon Gain an Eidolon that periodically deals 350 damage to a nearby enemy. Dodging through an attack doubles all Eidolon attack speed for 15 seconds.
Critical Dominion Rare Crits against a Behemoth build an aura that slowly decays. When fully built, Slayers within it gain +25% damage.
Duelist's Precision Rare Gain 1% / 2% / 3% stacking critical chance every half second that resets when you critically strike.
Executioner Common Deal +10% / +15% / +20% / +25% damage for each Behemoth below 50% health.
Full Throttle Uncommon Until the next Behemoth is defeated, gain +20% / +30% critical strike chance.
Hero's Call Rare After any Slayer is downed, grant all living Slayers a 200 health shield and +15% movespeed for 12 seconds.
Locus of Power Rare After using your Lantern Hold, create a power circle that grants +30% damage to a slayer within it. Prefers the Amp owner.
Mender's Gift Common Any time the Aether Vent is used, heal 1 / 3 additional Slayers for 200.
Pack Tactics Rare After a Behemoth is interrupted, grant +25% attack speed to all Slayers for 15 seconds. Does not stack.
Pact of Might Uncommon Not the last round For the next encounter, take 20% more damage. Afterwards, deal +20% damage.
Pact of Vitality Uncommon Not the last round For the next encounter, heal 50% less from all sources. Afterwards, gain +250 max health and heal 35% more from all sources.
Paragon's Blessing Common Dodging through an attack grants +10% / +13% / +17% / +20% damage to all Slayers for 20 seconds or until you take damage.
Ravenous Eidolon Common Have Violent Eidolon Gain an Eidolon that periodically deals 350 damage to a nearby enemy. Consumable use doubles all Eidolon attack speed for 15 seconds.
Spiteful Evasion Uncommon After dodging through an attack, gain Malkarion's Spite (+15% crit chance, +15% movespeed) for 10 / 15 / 20 seconds

Squad Goals Common Be in a group Deal +5% damage. For each other player with Squad Goals, deal +2.5% / +5% additional damage.
Thrill of the Hunt Uncommon Not the last round Each time a Behemoth is defeated, deal 2/3/4/5%.
Thunderous Mantle Epic Sprinting costs no stamina and builds static charge. At max stacks, your next attack within 3 seconds deals 1000 bonus damage.
Torrent Shield Uncommon Using your Lantern Hold ability grants +150 / +200 / +300 health shield to all Slayers for 15 seconds.
Transcendent Spite Uncommon Have the Amps Spiteful Evasion or Spiteful Onslaught While Malkarion's Spite is active, gain +125% critical strike damage.
Violent Eidolon Common Gain an Eidolon that periodically deals 350 damage to a nearby enemy. Lantern Hold uses doubles all Eidolon attack speed for 15 seconds.
Virulent Impact Legendary After you critically strike, deal 75% of the crit's damage to all Behemoths.
Zealus Eidolon Common Have Violent Eidolon Gain an Eidolon that periodically deals 350 damage to a nearby enemy. Lantern Tap use doubles all Eidolon attack speed for 15 seconds.

When a short distance from a Behemoth, occasionally spawn a ball of energy that grants all nearby players 250 shields when destroyed.
Shrapnel Common When any shield expires or is refreshed, it explodes, dealing damage in an AoE equal to 3 times the remaining shield value.
Pact of Hunger Uncommon For the next encounter, consumables are disabled. Afterwards, gain +8% Lifesteal.

Dealing stagger damage builds up a reserve of cannon balls, which are fired from above every minute.
Torgadoro's Strength Common Breaking a Behemoth part activates all currently-held Torgadoro's amps, granting you 16 seconds of +250 stagger damage.
Torgadoro's Fury Common Dodging through an attack activates all currently held Torgadoro's amps, granting you 16 seconds of +20% damage.

Modifiers[]

Shock Escalation Mods
Icon Name Description
Bombers Bombers spawn periodically. Killing them grants a bonus the next time you deal damage to a behemoth. Stacks multiple times.
Danger Zones Danger Zones periodically appear on the island. Avoid them before they explode!
Lightning Stars Crystals periodically spawn near Slayers and then detonate. If destroyed by Slayers, they spawn a buff
Shock Smollusks Shock Smollusks inhabit the area and will lay trails of dangerous shock slime wherever they traverse.
Spitters Spitters spawn periodically. Killing them grants a bonus the next time you deal damage to a behemoth. Stacks multiple times.
Static Shock Spires periodically spawn and target Slayers with Shock projectiles.
Styxian Sacrifice Styxian predator fauna will hunt lone and injured Slayers, but will keep their distance from Behemoths.
Tracking Lightning Slayers will periodically be targeted by a lightning curse that predicts ther movements.
Umbral Instability Behemoths have been touched by unstable umbral energy and will periodicaly create black holes that must be destroyed.
Weak Spot Behemoths are more durable, but have a conductive weak point.
