Saint's Bond is a seasonal event in Dauntless. It corresponds with the real-world celebration of St. Valentine's Day.

Lore

As the snow and ice of Frostfall season melt into the first rays of a brighter dawn, the people of Ramsgate make ready for the season of Saint’s Bond. A celebration of romance, love, and the bonds of the heart that unite souls through the ages, Saint’s Bond brings with it anticipation, anxiety, and more than anything … adoration.

It’s a time when those who have longed from afar share their feelings through heartfelt missives. When relationships are reaffirmed and broken hearts are mended. A time for some to remember the inspiring tales of the Savant and the Artisan, the heroic lovers who saved the city of St. Avellaine during the ancient past. A time for all to reach out to those closest to them.

And a time, of course, for Ramsgate’s premiere stylist and Hunt Pass coordinator Gregario Flynt to debut stunning new looks inspired by (if not liberally borrowed from) the dazzling fashions of St. Avellaine, central city of the Avellainian Archipelago and in many ways the cultural capital of the Shattered Isles.

Friends, lovers, friends who will become lovers, and lovers who are destined to become friends once more: the season of St. Avellaine’s favourites is upon us! And you need to look your very best to celebrate the Saint’s Bond. Even if, in the end, you wind up ‘dancing with yourself,’ as the bards of old once sang.

Past Saint's Bond Celebrations

Saint's Bond 2019

Saint's Bond 2019 was the first ever celebration of Saint's Bond. The event was celebrated with the second Hunt Pass: Saint's Bond. A few themed cosmetics such as the Flower Power emote and the Saint's Gift banner fabric were able to be purchased in the Store for platinum.

Ramsgate also received a new theme to fit the season. The city was decorated with flowers and had bits of leftover snow from the Frostfall season.

Saint's Bond 2020

Saint's Bond 2020 was celebrated with 7 Contracts, which rewarded themed Weapon Skins. Cosmetics from the Saint's Bond Hunt Pass were added to the Store, as well as a few new ones and also the ones from the previous year.

A free flare could be picked up by claiming it from the in-game mailbox.

Contracts

During Saint's Bond 2020 7 new Contract quests were made available during the event. Each Contract had you slay 60 Behemoths using the same type of weapon that the contract rewarded, so 420 Behemoths in total. However, hunting with a friend would double your progression, making it only 30 Behemoths per. Contract.

An option to buy the transmogs were made available in the Store. Each weapon transmog could be bought for 700 or as a bundle for 4,200, saving you 700 plat.

Guide

1. Open the Store and navigate to Featured > Contracts.
2. Select the contract you want to take on.
3. Hit the Claim Offer button to make it official.
4. Exit the store and return to the city.
5. Locate your questgiver. They're the NPC with a purple “!” above their head.
6. Talk to the questgiver and accept the quest.
7. Repeat steps 1 through 6 for any remaining Saint's Bond contracts you want to pursue. (You can have all seven active at once.)

Saint's Bond 2021

For Saint's Bond 2021 we saw the 7 Contracts from 2020 return in the form of 7 Rumours. They had the same requirements as the previous year and rewarded the same Weapon Skins. Like past celebrations, new items were added to the Store, as well as a bunch of cosmetics from the years before.

New this year was an Event Hunt Pass with rewards from the original Saint's Bond Hunt Pass. You could also trade in Hearts of Rage for Saint's Bond themed curiosities, the Flower Power emote and the Saint's Gift banner fabric in Honest Ozz's event store.

Hearts of Rage could be earned by breaking parts from behemoths. 1 Hearts of Rage for each broken part.

Gift of Naming
The Gift of Naming curisotiy could be purchased in Honest Ozz's event store for 100. This unique curiosity rewards 1 of 9 possible Titles to anyone who interacts with it. It had a purchase limit of 3, so players would have to share the curiosity with eachother in order to earn all 9 titles.

Saint's Bond 2022

For Saint's Bond 2022 the 7 Rumours from the following years made a return. Like the previous years the requirements where the same. Slay 60 behemoths with the corresponding weapon (30 with a friend), for a total of 420 behemoths (210 with a friend). Like past celebrations, new items were added to the Store, as well as a bunch of cosmetics from the years before. The Event Pass from 2021 did also make a return.

New this year was 4 Limited Time Quests. They revolved around Lady Luck and her dislike for the season of Saint's Bond. The reward for completing the 4 quests was the new Heartgem Crown.

Honest Ozz had new rewards to offer this year while also bringing back those from 2021. As for new cosmetics we got some curiosities, emojis, banner cosmetics and a flare.

During Saint's Bond 2022 players could earn double Slayer Link XP.
