Linnea Second-Born is one of the NPCs from Ramsgate in Dauntless.
Summary[ | ]
Linnea Second-Born was introduced in Patch 1.5.0 with Dauntless Reforged and the Cold Front Hunt Pass. She is an NPC who aids Slayers in Frost Escalation.
In Patch 1.8.3 Linnea was added to Boreal Outpost and Coldrunner Key when the two islands got a refresh. Slayers can interact with her to do a quest that can be repeated unlimited times.

"The name's Linnea Second-Born, Silver Queen, Lady of Vylmark, Frostwarden-General, Vanquisher of the Ondebreen Horde, Shield of Skaldeskar, and—you know what? Call me Linnea. "
Growing up a literal princess as the younger of two siblings in the fortified city of Vylmark, Linnea Silver preferred to study the Frostwardens and their Behemoth-hunting techniques, training with weapons and heavy armour while leaving her older brother Brynjar to study for his presumed role as the future king of the Skaldish people. But when a sacred Skaldish ritual chose her to take on the mantle of queen, Linnea had no choice but to grow into that responsibility—an effort that's only just beginning as she enters her second full year of leadership.

The mantle of leadership Linnea carries means that not only does she wear the crown of Skaldeskar, she still commands the realm's defenders as Frostwarden-General. She assumed the mantle after the ceremony to choose the next successor within the Silver lineage selected her for the job—to the surprise of no one more than Linnea herself. Linnea has chosen to model herself on Bryn's example in official matters, trying to be the person she believes she must be rather than the Slayer and warrior she feels she is in her bones. In private, she also betrays a clever sense of humour. The queen is not averse to the occasional prank, pun, or practical joke. But Linnea's greatest strength is her keen mind—she effortlessly understands complex states and adapts to them, allowing her to direct the Frostwardens in the face of ever-changing circumstances.

As she continues to study the art of diplomacy, politics, and leadership, she has made diplomatic contact with the city of Ramsgate and established formal channels with the regent and their representatives. The young monarch also breaks free of her duties to join the hunt when she can, believing no commander of Slayers should ever fall out of practice. She is Linnea Second-Born, the Silver Queen, Lady of Vylmark, Frostwarden-General, Vanquisher of the Ondebreen Horde, Shield of Skaldeskar, and Adversary of the Urska.
Frost Escalation[ | ]
Linnea helps with Frost Escalation by giving each round a random boon. These boons can weaken the Behemoth(s) and reduce Frostbite for all Slayers.
