This monolith is very, very old. If your lantern readings are correct it has been floating in this place for millennia. It may therefore have been erected long before the Upheaval thrust the broken lands of the Shattered Isles into the sky.
The Unseen sigil on its surface, however, is assuredly of more recent vintage. Surely there's no way the Unseen were present in the world before. Let alone long before, in the most ancient times imaginable.
