Aetherite is a currency in Dauntless that is used to level up Weapons by adding 
, thereby increasing their power. There are three rarities of Aetherite: Dull Aetherite, Shining Aetherite and Peerless Aetherite. Aetherite can be obtained from the Hunt Pass or the in-game Store, and by completing certain Quests and weekly Challenges.
To infuse Aetherite into a weapon, Slayers need to interact with Wils Bormen in Ramsgate and access the Aetherite Infusion option. Slayers get the choice to infuse any type of available Aetherite into any of the weapons they possess. An 'Auto-fill to Next Level' option is also available, which allows the game to automatically infuse available Aetherite and increase the selected weapon's level by 1.
The amount of gained depends on the rarity of Aetherite infused:

While from Behemoth kills is granted to both the equipped weapons, infused with Aetherite is only granted to the weapon selected in the Infusion screen. gained from Aetherite Infusion is not shared with the other equipped weapon.
